Wandering

Thousands of people daily go through an airport to reach their destination. As you wait for your own flight to depart, you can't help but people watch. As you watch you hope to see someone you might know, or even spot out that certain someone who makes eye contact with you. I mean how romantic would it be to find your soulmate waiting at an airport, when you are both traveling away from eachother. But you also think about every single person has a purpose to be at the airport at that time and has something waiting when they arrive. I like to guess what peoples personal ledgends are and what it is they are searching for in life( reference to the alchemist). I also think about what if the people that surround me at the airport were meant to surround me that time and place and I should take action and approach these people and make small talk, why is it so scary to meet new people or introduce yourself to a complete stranger? Honestly, what do you have to lose? Regardless what the conversation is I bet you get something out of it and learn a few new things that moment in your life. I challenge you and myself to do something that scares you everyday. Like going up to a stranger and introduce yourself.

LA at its finest

LA as we all know is some serious debt! serious debt! So you know what they are doing to gain a little profit.... GIVE AS MANY PARKING TICKETS AS THEY CAN! These poor people that claim parking enforcer as their job profession, I seriously wonder if they were born with a soul? They thrive off the thrill of typing in your license plate number into their "cool" piece of machinery, that at the speed of light prints out that lovely slip of paper that indicates that you now owe the city of Los Angeles $55.00. I experienced LA in its finest this week, receiving 3 glorious white slips of paper! not finding them on my window, but being face to face with the nasty no soul enforcer themselves handing me the ticket and I race to put more money in the meter. But, Of course its their job and there is nothing they can do ma'am! Looks like I will be paying Los Angeles $165.00 for the wonderful opportunities the city has given me and for being able to partake in them all. awesome!

Art Surrounds Us

Have you ever stopped to notice that there is art in every form that is always surrounding us. I took note of it when I was watching the Grammy's and Lady Gaga came out in all of her glory, not only did she deliver an outstanding performance with legendary Elton John but she was wearing a piece of art; clothing is very much just as artistic as the writing of a song, or the performance of the song, or the story of the performance, or even the artist that is performing the song. I feel like without art nothing is real, nothing is interesting. I see art in everything. Where ever you look it took an artist to think about it and then to create it. Looking at a food menu even, the artist is not only the one to draws up the menu and the pretty pictures along the side of it, but it goes down to the food itself and the chef and his creativity to create the dish. I am honored to be apart of the artistic world, and I feel more worthy when i appreciate the artist that is in everyone. Not just people that dance, sing, paint, write, play an instrument. BUT HUMANITY, being alive and sharing your personality and speaking is its own beautiful form of art!

The Power of the Secret

You are God in a physical body. You are Spirit in the flesh. You are Eternal Life expressing itself as you. You are a cosmic being. You are all power. You are all wisdom. You are all intelligence. You are perfection. You are magnificent. You are the creator, and you are creating the creation of you on this planet.
On my sweet iPhone I have this great app, i get a daily teaching from The Secret. It is truly amazing how just a change in the way you think can overall have an effect on what is happening in your life. Try it, it has been working for me.

Reflection

Friday January 29.... I sit alone at a Gelato Bar & Espresso Caffee sipping on warm earl grey tea, reflecting on a empowering yoga class, and looking out the window watching others enjoying the sunlight and one another's company.
In these moments of life I can not help but ponder deeply about my own , and realize how grateful I am to be soaking in these breathes of life. Being away from Utah and living on my own in an unfamiliar city, has taught me to OPEN my eyes. I had every luxury possible at home, I had the greatest friends on this plant, that could never and will never be replaced. I had a supportive family, who provided more than I could ask for. I had the best dance training and facility, offering me endless possibilities. I even had a boyfriend that has always been there for me. I had my life set and it all would have worked out and I would have been happy settling there. But that is the thing, I would be settling. I wanted more, I wanted an adventure, I wanted a change, I wanted to feel uncomfortable and scared. I also realize that I say I I I I... and maybe its selfish, But for once I am thinking only about myself. This is my chance to live my life the way I want to. I came here with not knowing what to do when I wake up, in fact what to do all day. I was a lost puppy, with one intention and that was to be independent and start living. Everyday I am here it is a challenge and it does get hard and I am constantly dealing with the next trial God presents to me. But at the end of the day that it takes all of bad to make the good, without all this I wouldn't be truly living. Testing your strength only makes you stronger, I know that I made the right decision moving out here and I know that I am growing because of it everyday. I am happy with the person I am becoming and loving learning about myself and seeing what I am capable of doing.

some inspiration

Due to the movie Julie and Julia, I personally have received an abundance of inspiration. For instance the character "Julie" that Amy Adams portrays is going through a time in her life where everything is kind of a mess and she struggles with commitment.. so there I found something similar in both of us, and she commits to following every recipe in the Julia Child cookbook and blog about it.
Not only did I just become a fan of this personal blogging business, I have also found a new love of cooking, and am recently following the Glamour One-Week Healthy Detox Meal plan, which is challenging me to prepare 3 meals a day for 7 full days. So after 180$ at whole foods, I was determined!
Today I successfully made delicious Turkey Chili http://www.glamour.com/bbg/2010/turkey-chili. * just a quick tip, do not forget to defrost your turkey before putting it in the pan of sizzling oil! hahaha.. thats why I am doing this, learning new things everytime!
The last bit of inspiration I received from this movie was the acceptance speech from the remarkable Meryl Streep on Sunday at the Golden Globes, winning best actress! The humble speech and gratitude she felt and the reference to her mother, assured me why I am in this business and that there is great role models who truly love and completely invest in their passion and deliver wonderful performances!

Step 1

Its official I am no longer a Blogger Virgin! Now what to say... I was thinking since it is a new year and new start to many adventures and experiences, it would be exciting to share it all with none other than the public creepers of the internet of course haha. I want my blog to be a fun, inspiring reflection on the complicated, insane and wonderful life that I am living.
